PVC (Polyvinyl chloride) is lightweight and very strong which are also used to make different items of daily use. PVC pipes are generally required for permanent application. PVC pipes offer the best performance, affordability, and versatility for ventilation and plumbing need. But when you go to your local hardware store you might confuse to see different sizes and various numbers of pipes. PVC pipes are available in different types which include dust pipes, section pipes, drop pipes, and riser pipes. Underground PVC pipes are utilized in various forms of underground conduit including supply pipe, drainage, and running electrical wires. They are manufactured for various purposes of various quality. They are heat resistant, durable, and rust-free.
Small PVCs are used in medical equipment sometimes. PVC is also used in leather or waterproof clothing materials, shoes, toys, cars, car cables, car interiors and a number of other products also offers Plumber Services.
Type of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) pipes
PVC plain
These are cheap lightweight and corrosion resistant. This is the popular choice of many builders and plumbers because of its thermostatic nature. PVC plain can be only molded.
UPVC
UPVC stands for plasticized polyvinyl chloride. These are made with rigid material. UPVC is mainly used for water waste transport. UPVC has a commonly used plastic in the world, as they have a very high resistance to chemical erosion. It has smooth inner walls that help to manage or encourage the water flow. It is very strong and cost-effective so it is mostly used in sewage lines and drainage pipes. In the US PVC pipe is preferred instead of using UPVC. UPVC cannot change its shape under normal weather conditions but it can be reshaped under very high temperatures. UPVC is found in dental and medical pieces. Sometime UPVC is used in dental retainers.
CPVC
CPVC stands for chlorinated polyvinyl chloride. CPCV is a thermoplastic. And it is produced by chlorination of polyvinyl chloride resin which is flexible and withstands at high temperatures than PVC. Don’t make a mistake while selecting the PVC and CPVC.CPVC has a small diameter and a tint. These types of pipes contain a higher level of chlorine. So they can withstand high temperatures. For water supply lines use CPVC pipes because of their ability to handle the high pressure than PVC. CPVC pipes also used for the supply of hot as well as cold water and industrial liquid handling
PVC -U
PVC -U, PVC -M, and PVC -O represents the thickness of the pipe walls. PVC -U can withstand high internal pressure because it has a thicker wall.
PVC -O and PVC -M is new versions of PVC. Their walls are not as thick as compared PVC -U. But they can also withstand high-level internal pressure.
PVC- M
PVC -M pipes are to be manufactured with subsequent material which improves the hydraulic properties. It usually has a think wall. PVC alloy with modifying polymers successfully achieves improvement in resistance to cracking.
PVC -O
PVC -O enhanced the advantages of PVC which also included environmental benefits. PVC -O has a large number of technical, commercial, and environmental benefits. it has a low failure rate, faster installation, lowest effects on water, is safe to install, and has proven longevity. it conserves water. It can also be recycled. PVC -O allows complexity to stretch the future. It’s 57% weight by salt. it is the lowest installation, operating as well as maintenance costs. The composition of PVC-O is similar to the composition of PVC-U and their difference is due to the orientation process. PVC -O is less sensitive to scratching and surface damage during installation.
