Visit Bangalore Wine Tasting today!
The five senses of wine tasting are “See, Swirl, Sniff, Sip, Savour.” Wine’s unique scent should be inhaled first in order to appreciate its true beauty, so swirl it vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds and take in the variety of aromas that emerge.
Take a tiny drink now, but hold it in front of your mouth for about five seconds before swallowing it. After around 8 seconds, roll the wine around in your mouth before swallowing it. Next, exhale some air from your lips while distilling it on your brain. Well, if you pay close attention, you will undoubtedly detect the lovely smells of the wine.
With its global appeal, Namma Bengaluru has embraced the wine culture in the most elegant way possible. Because it offers wine of the highest calibre, it has attracted attention from all around the world. Bangalore wine tours are available in well-known vineyards that are only a short drive away from the city. Bangalore restaurants are not far behind when it comes to wine tasting; the city’s eateries now provide exquisite wines for you to sample.
I figured out I have a thing for vineyards since I keep looking for more around because I just can’t get enough of them!
And it’s extremely interesting to hear from so many people that they were unaware of these vineyards, which are essentially close to every big Indian city. I’m going to tell you about the second winery I went to, The Grover Zampa vineyard, as I currently reside in Bangalore.
Getting there
Off the Raghunathpura Doddaballapur road, it is an hour’s drive from Bangalore and has the most beautiful journey ever. Make sure you arrive for either the morning batch, which departs at 10:30am, or the afternoon batch, which departs at 1:30pm, of the two wine tasting tour sessions that are offered.
The actions you’ll take
Like other wine tasting tours, it begins with a thorough explanation of how grapes are crushed and the unique grape selection used to create each wine.
The fermentation tanks come next, which need constant monitoring to produce high-quality wines. (You are not permitted to take photos in these locations.) You are also given access to the barrel room, where the barrel-ageing process involves controlled oxidation. Finally, you will observe the bottling and labelling of wines, which involves both manual labour and machinery.
Lunch outside and wine tasting
The tasting is my favourite part of any wine tour.
You get to sample six different wines, including red, white, and rosé varieties! Additionally, this wine tasting session was more thorough and enjoyable than my prior ones because of the very stunning atmosphere of the tasting room. With the ideal lighting and seating arrangement, it is incredibly snug.
The vineyard wasn’t on the winery’s campus, as is customary, thus there was no vineyard tour included with this purchase. You can simply drive down for a visit even if it’s a little distance from the property.
If you reserve a large group session in advance, they also offer grape stomping.
After the tasting, the wine tour comes to an end. You can dine indoors or outside for lunch. There is a set menu that includes salad, appetisers, entrées, and desserts. The cuisine offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian alternatives. Additionally, you may purchase more wine to drink at home or with lunch, which is exactly what we did. Food, wine, and a stunning view. What more do you need?
This easily beats one of the nicest afternoons I’ve had this year in the liveliest and cosiest setting! They took precautions to preserve hygiene in light of the Covid-19 outbreak, and I felt entirely safe here.
Last but not least, you can go for a stroll through their lovely grounds and breathe some much-needed fresh air away from the bustle of the city!
Wine tasting is undoubtedly a skill that requires practice to perfect. But how do you get this knowledge? by going in the proper direction. Looking for a Bangalore wine tasting? For the best wine tasting experience, visit this location.
